The Oracle

The oracle can be defined as a bridge between a human and a god or even between two worlds. We consult the Oracle to get the answers to our questions. When a person consults, the oracle will transmit an answer to a specific question relating to the future, relying on the cards. These cards are also called oracles. In this case, the oracle is similar to a medium or a clairvoyant.

The most widespread oracle is the Belline oracle. Thanks to its 52 cards illustrated by the seer Edmond Baillaudot in the 19th century, the oracle of Belline answers the questions asked by the consultant. The cards are divided into seven groups symbolizing seven planets. Belline's oracle also includes a blue card: the protection card.

There are also many other oracles such as the Oracle of Gé, which has 61 cards and four blades.  These two elements combined allow him to date his predictions. The triad oracle includes 57 cards and a strong symbolism with the number 3. While the Lumière oracle contains, like the Belline oracle, 52 cards but this time divided into seven themes.
